BANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

😎!!!!!!!!

unsurprisingly I LOVED THIS!!! the aesthetic is so cohesive and gorgeous. the banter amazing, i soso love lenora and just want more of her. despite the fact that it was made for quite a limiting jam it doesn't feel that way. it could be it's own nice short story or some part of a larger whole, but it feels complete on it's own and yeah. i love this game. five stars.

Thank you!!  It was an incredible challenge to try and get across Lenora's whole ~character~ in 1k words, but I'm glad it worked out :D

loved playing through this!!! the characters were nice to follow ++ i enjoyed their banter 🥰you built up the atmosphere very well with such a short word limit. great job!!!!

AAA thank you so much, I'm glad you liked them! :D

Wow this was so good! The writing of the two characters was fun, the world building was great for such a short story, and Lenora's art was so well done and expressive! I loved how the writing and pacing were enhanced by her reacting or laughing. Great detail, this was a wonderful little story. I wish them both luck <3

Thank you!  Trying to give an impression of the world was challenging with the tight word count, but I did my best :^)

Lenora is so silly and so real and eloquent and lovely and I LOVED the banter between her and the guard!I love the pixel-y art vibe as well, the UI format you chose compliments the story! And that final sprite,,,,, SHES SO!!! CUTE!!! Amazing job!♡

Thank you so much!!  Lenora truly is  a silly woman...

This was such a fantastic game! The atmosphere was really well done, I particularly liked the sidebar UI and the thunderstorm sounds. Lenora and the guard's dynamic was super interesting - I really liked the contrast between the more murderous Lenora and the more sensible guard. The animated sprites added so much charm and I loved Lenora's expressions! :)

Thank you!  Lenora and the dialogue are the parts I'm the most proud of, so I'm glad you enjoyed them too :D

Really great game!! Firstly, the artstyle and visuals are so cool! I love how you used monochromatic but differently hued tones for both Lenora and the background. It really gives a dim, nighttime mood. Lenora's sprite and animations are so charming too! The slow blinks, smiles, and different little animations like that really give her a ton of character!! The writing for both her and the guard is also great, it flowed really naturally and characterized them both so well. It left me really wanting to see more of them by the time it ended. It's all so memorable and very well done!

That being said, there's a bug you should know about! Itch won't let this install from the desktop app. This same thing happened to me on my submission, actually. Itch doesn't seem to like Renpy's pc builds on the desktop app, but works just fine if you put up builds separately for Windows, Mac, and Linux. I went on to a browser to download it and it installed just fine, but I figured you'd wanna know so more people can play it!

Thank you so much for your kind words!  And double thank you for letting me know about the download issue - I'll go ahead and upload all those other builds today.  I honestly wasn't sure what the difference between the windows and pc builds were, so I guess this answers the question...
